The scientific record of the Society’s annual meetings — twenty congresses and counting.
The scientific record of the Society’s annual meetings — twenty congresses and counting.
The Society has convened twenty annual congresses since its first meeting, the First Cairo International Hand Surgery Conference, held 24–27 March 2008. Each has produced a body of presented work — free papers, posters, instructional courses and invited lectures — that forms the fullest record of Egyptian hand surgery in existence.
Abstract books for each congress collect the presented scientific work, indexed by author and by subject. They are made available here as a permanent citable record.
Abstracts are invited for free-paper and poster presentation at each annual meeting. Categories cover clinical studies, basic science and case series. Submission guidance, structured format requirements and deadlines are published with each congress announcement.
Keynote and instructional sessions from recent congresses are added to the Surgical Video Library, so that teaching delivered once remains available to members afterwards.
The Society’s awards, including the Nash Naam Award, recognise excellence in work presented at the congress, with particular attention to younger surgeons.
