Recognising the best work presented at the annual meeting, with particular attention to younger surgeons.
The Nash Naam Award
Named for Professor Nash Naam, whose annual visits from 1997 onwards were instrumental in uniting Egyptian orthopaedic and plastic surgeons behind the founding of the Society, this award recognises excellence among younger surgeons. It stands as the Society’s most direct expression of a founding principle: that senior members carry an obligation to those coming after them.

- Best poster — judged during the poster viewing sessions
- Best surgical technique presentation
Judging
Awards are judged by a panel appointed by the Scientific Committee, assessing originality, methodological quality, clarity of presentation and clinical relevance. Judges do not assess work from their own institution.
Eligibility
Work must be presented in person by an author at the meeting. Trainee categories are open to residents and to surgeons within a defined period of completing training.
Recipients
Award recipients are announced at the closing session and recorded in the congress proceedings. Recipients are also listed under Member Research Highlights.
