Grants & Awards

Support for research, training and travel — and recognition of the work that advances hand surgery in Egypt.

Overview

A society advances its specialty in two ways: by funding work that would not otherwise happen, and by recognising work that deserves to be seen. This section sets out both.

Guiding Principles

Awards are made on merit, assessed by panels appointed by the Executive Board. Panel members do not assess applications from their own institution. Decisions and the reasoning behind them are recorded, and unsuccessful applicants may request feedback.

Congress Prizes

Prizes for work presented at the annual meeting — including the Nash Naam Award — are described under Congress Awards.
