A structured logbook template with indicative case numbers by procedure category, for use in supervision meetings and fellowship applications.

Examination Preparation

Guidance on written and clinical examination format, viva technique, and preparation timelines, drawn from the experience of recent candidates.

Research and Presentation

Support for trainees preparing their first abstract or paper — study design, structured abstract format, and guidance on presenting at the annual congress. The Society’s awards, including the Nash Naam Award, recognise excellence among younger surgeons.

Mentorship

Trainees seeking a mentor within the Society may apply through the Education Committee. Senior members carry an obligation to those in training, and mentorship is how the specialty sustains itself.
